And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
In other words, the limitations of a man is not his surrounding. Your limitation is not from outside, your limitation is from inside.
You can loose everything today, yet that will not limit your tommorow.
What would make a man poor is not his surrounding, what will make him poor is within him.
You think it, you become it,
Pr 23:7 'as a man thinketh, so is he'. so you’re only the result of your thought.
Matthew 5:28
But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.(NLT)
So the moment you focus your mind to lust after a woman, before God you have already committed adultery
Matthew 15:19
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: (KJV)
So this means that before anyone commits murder on the outside, he has already committed the murder inside. Before you committed fornication with that woman, you've already slept with her within. As far as you processed the thoughts, before heaven you have already done it.
You can also use that same creative ability of the mind to create the future that you desire, the same way you 'lust' after a woman, 'lust' after that future that you desire, because your life goes in the direction of your most dominant thoughts. That’s why the word of God admonishes us to “mount guards on our heart”
Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life.(KJV)
Proverbs 4:23
Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.(AMP)
The same scripture from the Bible In Basic English, it says
Proverbs 4:23
And keep watch over your heart with all care; so you will have life.(BBE)
So if you want to have life and enjoy life, you MUST keep and guard your heart with vigilance. Not every though is processed within because, your life goes in the direction of your thought.
Proverbs 10:24
…the desire of the righteous shall be granted.(KJV)
Regardless of what you pray for, your heart desire, or expectations of your heart shall be granted. The still small voice of your heart is louder in heaven than your voice in prayer.
So how do you, expect, since it’s your expectation that would be granted?
You expect with your mind. So the mind is a tool for having your expectations granted.
You use your mind as a tool to see the answers to your prayers. You begin to see that answer to your prayer. It is here. You close your eyes, you see it! You open your eyes you see it. You talk act and live knowing it is done. It is not going to be done, it was done when i prayed and now i have it.
This is why it seems some people's prayers are not answered.
The bible says out of the heart proceeds...
So the answer to your prayer is in the alliance of your mind to your prayer.
You're only going to experience a future that has gone through your mind.
You carry it in your mind, you ruminate and ruminate on it, till it becomes a part of you.
What God cannot get to your mind, he cannot get to your life.
'Out of you are the issues of life' so your mind can make you or mar you.
You are where you are today because of the thoughts you brooded on yesterday. If something about you is going to experience a transformation, then the information in your mind also needs a transformation.
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…
So the metamorphoses you seek probably in your marriage, health, career, education etc. are all in the right usage of your mind.
There is a something more than a super computer within you, it can create and recreate situations and circumstances, it's called your mind.
Your transformation is in your mind. Change your thinking, change your life. The pace at which you move in life is determined by the gear your mind is working at.
Pr 4:23 says ‘life’, Mt 15:19 says ‘evil’
So you choose to either produce life with your mind, or to produce evil(death,wickedness etc) with your mind
It doesn't matter how bad the situation might be, your choice is what makes the difference. If your mind focuses on life, you live, if it gravitates towards death, you die, even though you are praying. The voice of your mind is louder in heaven than the sound from your mouth.
The state of the mind determines the state of the man.
Your real personality is your spirit, but in this earth, what dominates is your mind. Your mind is the door to your spirit, what passes through your mind gets into your spirit.
Your mind is a magnet; it pulls whatever thought you bring in. So the experience of your life is the experience of your mind.
So how do i use my mind as a tool for my own advantage?
Romans 12:2
… be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.(KJV)
You focus your mind on what and who the word of God says you are. You hold on to that picture of you you see in the word. You hold on to that picture. Any other voice that tells you otherwise, you know it’s from the enemy.
Galatians 1:8-9
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.(KJV)
So any other suggestion from whosoever and whatsoever, even if it’s an event that tells you something different from what the word of God says you are, push it aside, don’t let it inside. See yourself the way the word sees you. Cal yourself what God calls you!
Okay something unpleasant happened to you (externals) maybe you lost your job or something, what do you do?
Instead of focusing on thoughts of evil; focus on thoughts of good, thoughts of peace, tranquility and productivity. The good thing here is that you're the one with the power of focus. You're the one to decide whether to focus on life or death, the choice is yours, if your mind focuses on life, you'd live! You will definitely come out of that situation unscratched, but if your focus is on 'death' - 'i was sacked', 'i failed all my courses', 'my marriage is not working', 'this cancer is terrible', it's only a matter of time, you'd drown in that situation.
When ugly situations stare at you,look back into its eye and talk to it.
'My husband is a good man, he's the best man any woman can ever have. My husband is loving, passionate about God. My husband is the envy of the world' thoughts of death might be saying to you 'but he came back home yesterday drunk', you speak back ' My husband is God fearing, he is the priest of this family, the love of God and for God has flooded his heart. Don't forget it is not the suggestions that come into you that is important (externals), it is the one you allow in and re echo that changes situations.
'I am healed', ' i'm smart' ' i'm intelligent'.
What are you doing? You're changing situations from within.
Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious--the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Philippians 4:8(MSG)
