JESUS! More than an exclamation.

Have you ever been in that bus and the driver starts driving recklessly? The next thing you'd hear is "Jesus! Jesus!! Jesus!!!" Or maybe you hit your foot against a stone, the next thing you scream is "Jesus!" before you even yell 'ewooooo'. To others, ladies especially 'Jesus' is a word that conotes surprise or awe, "Jesus, are you serious?"Some even add some style they just yell 'O Jezzzz' or 'O Jeez, are you serious' or 'O My Jezzz'.
At this point, maybe you think the word 'Jesus' is just an Exclamation, i want to tell you it's not. It was a word that our predecessors used when they were in situations to calm the storms. They weren't exclaiming, they were using the name as a tool to solve the situations staring uglily at them. So you came into the earth and you found out that people exclaim Jesus almost every second, you just joined in the use of the name, but now as a mere exclamation. So you have a 'logos' someone else has a Rhema.

A woman comes back from the market and sees her child dying on the bed, she begins to exclaim 'Jesus o! Jesus! Eh Jesus O' and as she continues the child's condition worsens, but a sister passing by hearing the noise from her flat comes to the house lays her hands on the child and says 'in the name of Jesus, you are healed' with a very low voice, she does not even shout; and immediately the child's health condition alleviates. So what is the difference between the woman and the sister? The understanding of the name of Jesus. To the woman, Jesus is an exclamation, to the sister, the name of Jesus is a tool for changing situations.
So what is your own understanding of the name of Jesus?

Philippians  2:9 - 10
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Proverbs 18:10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Acts  4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

So when next you use the  name of Jesus, PLEASE use it with undertanding.
When Peter healed a man at the beautiful gate and was asked how he did it, this was what he said

Acts 3:16
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

So use the name of JESUS to cause a CHANGE!
