When We Worship

The word "worship" in the bible means "to lie prostrate on the floor, or to fall on the floor in the presence of someone of high regard".

The two times God had a chat with the devil or 'devils' was in
Job  2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
2:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

Here we see God having a chat with the devil, how come the devil had access to God, and how come God could not cast out the devil from his preesence, but rather he had a chat with him? The bible tells us the answer in verse 1

Job  2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

The sons of God came to worship God, and the devil also came in between them also to worship God, but God did not cast him out, because he came to present himself before the greatest deity.
So divine protocol was broken because of worship.

Also we see Jesus in

Mark  5:1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
5:2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
5:3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
5:4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
5:6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
5:10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

Here we see Jesus having a chat with 'devils' why? Mk 5:6

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him.

So when the devils worshipped Jesus, Jesus had no other option but to listen to them.

Also we see the Jesus and the syrophoenician woman

Matthew  15:21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.  15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.  15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.  15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.  15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.  15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Jesus was NOT supposed to answer her, Jesus said "Matthew 15:24   But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." So Jesus was not suppose to answer her, but that divine protocol CHANGED when she worshipped. The bible says she fell down before Jesus.
That is the secret.

Worship is a very significant tool for getting God's attention, it helps to stay your mind on the omnipotence of God.

It's important to know that today, devil and devils CANNOT worship God aceptably anymore, neither does God regard mere lying on the floor as worship. In the new testament worship is from the spirit, the outer show if not in sync with the spirit is only a waste of energy. God accepted the outward acts of worship in the old testament because their spirits were not alive to God, so whatever the flesh did could be acceptable to God. But in the new testament Jesus said

John  4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

So worship in the new testament for us is more spiritual than physical, we knee, lie prostrate, fall, because we have laid our ALL before him 'it is no longer us that lives', 'to live is Christ', so if we live, we live for Jesus Christ. This is the beginning of what Jesus called true worship because  Romans 8:16   The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

When is is true you can then worship the father in the spirit.

1 Corinthians 14:14   For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
1 Corinthians 14:15   What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the
understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Ephesians 5:18   And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Ephesians 5:19   Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Jesus said 'the true worshippers will worship the father in truth and in spirit' we are the true worshippers because we have received the life of Christ, so how do we worship God?
The answer is in the two scriptures above.

IN TONGUES

You sing in the spirit, pray in the spirit and in your understanding also.
When you sing in tongues, you are indeed giving thanks unto God, adoring him for who he is. 1 Corinthians 14:16   Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?1 Corinthians 14:17   For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.

No wonder Paul said "1 Corinthians 14:39   Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues."
