YOU AND YOUR FAITH

Have you ever been in that scenario where you really needed something done, and you seem to have "faith" you were "faithing" it but at the end it did not go as expected. So what happened, then someone tells you "You see your faith is too small, you need BIGGER faith".
This was the same mindset the disciples of Jesus had when they asked him to increase their faith.
Luke 17:5-6
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

But Jesus’ response was really remarkable, he said all you need is for your faith to be as small as a mustard to accomplish enormous feats. You don’t need GREAT faith to move the mountain, that faith you have is enough.

Romans 12:3
For God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

So from Rom 12:3, God has given every man, the measure of faith. so YOU have faith. How come faith is not working? the answer is YOU.

Matthew 14:30
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

The word “saw” is the greek word “blepo” and this means “to turn the thoughts or direct the mind to a thing, to consider, to contemplate, to weigh carefully or to examine
when peter “considered” the wind, his little faith failed, but when his leap was on the word of God he walked on water. At the end what did Jesus tell him?

Matthew 14:31
And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?(KJV)

Looking at this you’d observe something. Peter had little faith, but with that little faith, he was able to walk on water stresslessly. so even if your faith is at the level of little faith, it should produce that desired result. But if it is not working, Jesus also explains why

“O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

Doubt was what crippled faith. the word “doubt” here means “to waver”, so he was asking Peter “why did you waver” indirectly he was asking Peter “why did you consider the wind?”

Romans 4:19-22
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

the word understand in ROM 4:19   is “katanoeo” this means to perceive, remark, observe, understand. it means to “consider attentively”, to FIX one’s eyes or mind upon something.

So when he said Abraham considered not his own body now dead, he was not  saying Abraham didn’t see the physical, but it was saying Abraham did not fix his eyes or mind upon the deadness of his body neither did he consider attentively the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

But this is the mistake many make today their “FIX” is on the cancer instead of on the WORD of God that makes you cancer proof. The truth is "You become what you behold."

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory…"

If you consider attentively the cancer, you’d become cancer and die of cancer, if you consider attentively the word of God you’d become the word of God and disease can’t stay in God’s presence.
so what are you attentively considering?
the wind or the word?
the deadness of the body or the word of the one that made the body?

So if you don’t want to incapacitate your faith, the responsibility is yours.
Your faith can work if you allow it. so how do i make my faith work?

I know you’d expecting me to say “number one, don’t fear”- but there are only two things you’d do to make your faith work. If you do these two, others will naturally sort out themselves.

Acts 20:32
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Acts 6:4
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
so these are the only two things you need to do, if you do these two, you will not need any other thing, you would walk out of that situation that seem insurmountable.
THE WORD
PRAYER

THE WORD
Take out time to study the word of God. Study the bible as though your life depended on it, because it does. The more of God you know the lesser your fear, fear is of the devil, it’s of darkness, but as the light of God’s word enters your spirit naturally, the darkness would leave and you’d come to terms with why you should not be in that mess, and once you do , you’re on your way out of the mess.

PRAYER
Jude 1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,(KJV)
1 Corinthians 14:4
He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

Don't forget 'YOU' are what we are addressing right now.
Jude 1:20 says 'building up YOURSELF in YOUR most holy FAITH' how? Praying in the Holy Ghost.
After studying the word of God for hours, close your eyes and pray in the holy ghost. When you pray in tongues you are 'edifying YOURSELF' so the issue is being addresed, you're addressing YOU for your faith to prevail.( for more teacing on speaking in tongues click here)
This is not the time when you pray in your understanding. Your communication must now be in the spirit, you study the word of God and spend hours Speaking in tongues and i assure you that mountain will become a plain because YOUR FAITH IS ENOUGH.
